  'MMM...can't beat that taste!!!

The fast food revolution in Australia started in 1968 in Sydney's western suburbs. KFC now have over 600 stores in Australia and New Zealand. Colonel Harland Sanders, founder of the original Kentucky Fried Chicken, was born on September 9, 1890. The 65-year-old gentleman had started a worldwide empire using his $105 social security cheque. KFC now stretches world wide with more hten 9,000 stores in 86 countries serving the Colonel's Original recipe.

Models and Actors rising star 'Ben Purser' proudly represented the Colonel when he was selected to star in a recent campaign for KFC which will air in New Zealand. Ben plays the mate of the lead in the latest 'Hot Rods' campaign.

Watch out Hawko..Mini-Model dreams of being next Miss Universe!

At six years of age and just 123 cm tall, Newcastle’s “next big thing” in the modelling world is a tiny charmer. Madyson Thomas, of Fletcher, is already one of the Hunter’s home-grown cover girls, featured on the front of this season’s issue of the biannual children’s fashion magazine Studio Bambini.
Madyson has been signed to Newcastle-based agency Models and Actors Talent Management for almost three years, the agency with which ‘Jennifer Hawkins’ and Australia’s Next Top Model winner ‘Gemma Sanderson’ started.
Eight-year-old Molly Compton and eight-year-old Sabrina Kliousis also signed with Models and Actors Talent Management feature in the latest issue of Studio Bambini.

  Got to have SOUL!

Models and Actors talent are renowned for giving each performance their ‘Heart & Soul’. Which is what stirred a Sydney advertising agency ‘Daily Planet’ to source talent from the hunter’s premier talent agency for their next SOUL campaign.

  Models taking a holiday???
From time to time even the rigours of living the dream life of a 'Model' become all too much and result in some much needed R&R. But before our new star model 'John B' can contemplate where he might spend his paypacket he has one last assignment at 'Port Stephens Resort & Spa'. I know; what a terrible way of earning some extra cash!!!

Elite Model Management is the world's largest & most prestigious model network. Founded in Paris in 1971, Elite are thrilled to add Australia to its vast network, spanning over 32 countries. Here at Models and Actors we are always fantasising about flying away to exotic locations and every now and then are dreams do come true. Two very lucky male models Ryan P and Ben C were lucky enough to fulifill there dreams of having wings and being able to fly away only I am not convinced that their wings were able to lift them up off the ground and soar high into the sky like an eagle.

See what you think? You can see the boys on the latest XBox campaign. Let us know if you see them flying around town?

Maitland Tourism has never looked more enticing!

Maitland Tourism has never looked so enticing.... thanks to the charismatic Evan B and the allure of our Atalie W. These guys had a blast cruising around in a vintage mustang, a vesper, a plane, a train, a little dancing, a little shopping and the action packed day was topped off with a 'few drops' of some of the world's most delicious wines, produced by our superb Hunter Valley vineyards... and they call that work???

All the shots were taken for Maitland Tourism by Sprout Scape www.esprout.com.au . You would have to agree, that Sprout Scape have definitely set a high bench mark for other advertising agencies to follow.

We are eagerly waiting for the next adventure with Sprout Scape!

  Mercedes Fashion Week

Mercedes Fashion Week Presented to you by IMG Asia Pacific

Kobe Hardman has never worn anything more expensive. But the $1500 "look" she wore for the MAC Australian Fashion Week launch wasn't your typical designer garment. The 16-year-old Newcastle model (pictured below right) had $1500 worth of gold painted onto her skin in leaf patterns for the event. MAC cosmetics kicked off Australian Fashion Week with an exhibition of the Qi Pao (chi pau), the classic Chinese dress. Other Models and Actors talent involved in the event were (from below left) Ben S, Brad B and Maria L.

The MAC Chinese dress exhibition was originally created to celebrate MAC's expansion into China and has toured Shanghai, China, New York and Bangkok.

Brad Ngata 'Australian Hairdresser of the Year'

Brad Ngata is one of this country's most awarded and respected stylists. Brad skilfully combines the roles of KMS Australian Artistic Director, salon owner and Creative Director, educating around the globe, and session styling for the edgiest designers and publications. Brad's awards cover all spheres of hairdressing in both the consumer and industry sectors - from winning the pinnacle Hair Expo 'Australian Hairdresser of the Year' to being named in the Sunday Telegraph magazine's 'Hot 100' of Australia's most influential people.

Brad Ngata came to Models and Actors for the models for his recent Avant Garde Hairshow held in Newcastle. Models selected were from left Allana B, Shelby K, Kim Mc, Bree L, Carly A and Merindah B. The girls and I had a fab time hanging out with Brad!
Thank you ladies for all your professionalism!
Natasha

  WE LOVE HDP!
Events managed by Tracy McKelligott's HDP team are always well organised and two recent commercial shoots were no exception. Scott E and Christine C were chosen for an elegant production at Milano's on the Lake as part of an awareness campaign for HDP's upcoming Bridal parades. Scott and Christine are the featured couple this year - a marriage made in Models & Actors heaven. HDP also handle the Seniors Expo account and they selected Christine Mc from our growing list of senior talent to appear in all advertising for this year's extravaganza. Thanks to all our talent for their professionalism in representing M & A.

  NAB OUR PROUD AUSSIES

Some of our lucky models now have a nice connection to the Melbourne Commonwealth Games after being chosen to attend a "welcome wall" where members of the public were asked to write messages of support to our athletes. It was all part of the National Australia Bank's Torch Relay celebrations. Katie F, Kendall W, Hayley L and Ben P were our entrants in the 4 x models event, setting new personal best standards. Now, if they   ever hold a promo Olympics...! And Australia Day was a lot of fun too, especially for budding tv/radio presenters Ben C, Ben P, Lize J and Cassandra C , who all did a fun job hosting the activities on the foreshore.

  BRIDAL BEAUTIES
FULL House at the CIVIC! The Bridal industry is still buzzing with the success of the 2006 Bridal Expo, which was produced, choreographed and modelled entirely by Models & Actors Talent Management. Attendance was up 50% to a record 1500+ much to the delight of the NWIP (Newcastle Wedding Industry Professionals), which commissioned Models & Actors to manage the project. "It was a bold step by the NWIP to move outside their comfort zone and outsource the work," agency manager Natasha Porter said. "Models & Actors has the best portfolio of modelling talent anywhere in the Hunter and we set them quite a challenging task, because we wanted a theatrical feel to the choreography and staging. "Given the constraints of a modest budget we were able to transport our audience aboard the "Love Boat" where they witnessed romance and fun develop into a wonderful courtship and - 11 scenes later - a joyous marriage." Ms Porter also said that the assistance from NWIP director, Andrew Wiltshire, and the stage crew of the Civic Theatre had been invaluable. The Bridal Expo had been a great chance to showcase the wide range of models, dancers, actors and musicians vailable at Models & Actors Talent Management.

  BANK ON SHOWCAST

Which bank wants our very own Rebecca G to launch their new campaign for 2006? The Commonwealth, of course. Rebecca's image will be captured in Sydney next week to be used for Outdoor, Press and In-store advertising for one month, as well as on-line usage for six months. This is another example of the power of using SHOWCAST to pick-up additional work. Joining the Showcast network costs only $65  and you still have all the benefits of dealing directly with Models & Actors, because all the Showcast enquires and bookings are handled here by us. You get the best of both worlds. Well done Rebecca!

  ERIC’S BANA HEADLINE
What if your very first paid acting job was to star alongside Eric Bana in a feature movie! That could very well happen for our rising star Louis B, who has been shortlisted for an Australian production called: Romulus, My Father. If Louis gets the gig, it’ll be a massive challenge because his character features in nearly every scene. You heard it here first, Louis B is going to be BIG!

  STUDIO BAMBINI

This glossy magazine is the ultimate for youngsters wanting recognition in the modelling world and our latest little star to gain such recognition is Sebastian, who must have been born under a lucky star.
When Sebastian’s gorgeous mum walked through the agency doors we snapped her up, and just on a hunch we sent Sebastian to a Studio Bambini casting. They loved him. Watch out for him in the next edition.

  NBN SUMMER CAMPAIGN
NBN continues to be the dominant force in Hunter television and very soon you’ll be seeing the network’s Summer station id’s for 2006. And or course, it features Models & Actors talent! The beautiful 30-something lady out for a Sunday drive around Morpeth? That’s our Carla K. And the young boy fishing with his grandpop on the Lake? That’s Joey O and Colin B.

  MFL WINNERS

We are EXTREMELY proud of our fabulous result in Model For Life 2005!

Congratulations to Merindah Bryne, 19, who won the Adult Category and in the process earned a 12-month contract as the face (and  body - she's hot!) of Models & Models Talent Management. As part of being our agency face (did we mention the body!), Merindah will be introduced to FOXTEL Digital tv executives and to Chadwicks, Sydney. We have organised a fabulous fashion shoot for Merindah, who is going to be very busy in 2006, but she'll have to find time for a trip to FIJI... she won that as well.

Look out for Merindah's fashion shoot, we'll post it on the site in December.

  extROVERT LIGHTS
When you're the best lighting company in town you want your tv ads to shine, so no wonder the team that put the new Rovert Lighting campaign together chose Kate M as presenter. Kate has it all as a presenter; classic looks, poise, authority and a great voice. Shot at NBN studios. Produced and directed by Nick Serras.

  RISK-y BUSINESS
Just 6-years-old and starring in a short film! Mason T looks like confident young fellow and he is, featuring prominently as "Thomas" in "Risk" a short film shot on location in Newcastle. Produced by Brendan Fehre, the project was funded by NRMA and may be repackaged for future NRMA training/commercial use. We think if Mel Gibson was doing Mad Max all over again, Mason would be a perfect Feral Kid!

  DANNY BUDERUS

FOXTEL and Danny BuderusWhat a front row! When FOXTEL wanted to amp up the Hunter's awareness of their new choice of digital subscriber packages, of course they turned to Models & Actors to choose the talent and produce the shoot. The ads also feature our owner, CAMERON WILLIAMS, who contracted local production whizzes Savage Multi-media to shoot and edit the 30 second TVC's. The ads were shot on location on the wharf in front of The Brewery.

  VALUABLE LAND
Our Number One family has done it again, wowing everybody in Sydney with their superb group shoot for LANDCOM.
